I gather from messages the "The Ordeal" recently aired. I remember a lot from that episode, as it involved a stunt, full leg casts, braces, crutches and a wheelchair. Larry Dobkin directed it and he was one of my favorite directors. I remember that a strange little old man came to set about a week before we started filming the episode and measured me for the braces. This involved me lying on top of a large sheet of brown paper while he drew around my legs with a pencil. Very odd experience. I also remember them making the casts and then cutting them off me, running up the back of my legs with big, manual clippers. Again, odd experience. The casts were hard to get on and off, so I recall staying in the hospital bed while they set up shots, rather than running off. Wearing both the casts and the braces left me quite sore by the end of each shooting day. It was a fascinating experience trying to get around in them.
