We’re having a great time getting back into training! Here’s a good quote from Olympic gold medalist Hunter Armstrong to keep in mind as we continue pushing ourselves, in and out of the pool:
“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” 🏆

This morning, Coach Sarah, Coach Cam, Zac, Caroline, and Robert took a trip to New Orleans for the annual Louisiana Swimming House of Delegates Meeting! 🗳️
Before the meeting, the athletes had a swim practice led by COLA alum Victoria Barczyk and enjoyed breakfast together. At the meeting, we voted for and against proposals, elected board members, and more.
Congratulations to COLA Swimmer Curtis Malone who was honored as Louisiana Swimming’s 2025-2026 Senior Male Swimmer of the Year! 🏆
This was a great opportunity to represent COLA, and we look forward to continuing to grow and make an impact within Louisiana Swimming!🧡💙

Another !!
Today marked the start of our Short Course Season Training! As this new season begins, it’s important to focus, not only on training, but HOW you train. Every practice is an opportunity to get better, push yourself, and work towards your goals.
Take this quote from 12-time American Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte for example:
“It’s hard, but I know that when I’m doing it, it’s going to make me that much better than everyone else. After a hard workout, you feel good about yourself, too. Those are my favorite days.” 🏆
