Our first Clinical Friday had John Broussard and Brian Soignier come to discuss proper posture and gait assessments as well as the importance of orthotics. Our students tried their hands at assessing gait for deviations and see the orthotics that can be constructed to help. Thank you to these gentlemen as well as JD Boudreaux for being a part of our students’ learning!

Yesterday, 2nd-year Kayla Harrison and preceptor Alissa Marks were ready to weather the storm for Ascension Episcopal’s Homecoming game. The forecast said rain, but somehow they made it through the entire game without a single drop. Guess you could call it a little rain boot miracle✨ We’re grateful for Alissa’s continued commitment to guiding and supporting our students year after year.

Huge thank you to Steve Everett, Athletic Trainer for McNeese Softball, for taking the time to teach our students the biomechanics of each phase of pitching. It was an incredible opportunity for them to learn how the body works throughout each phase and how proper mechanics can improve performance while helping reduce the risk of injury. We might just have some future standout pitchers on our hands after today🌶️
