Have aches and pains in your body but the doctor says there’s nothing wrong? Could it be muscular? Try Muscle Activation Techniques!
I hear people speak of aches and pains and say it’s so weird that something is hurting but the doctor says there’s nothing wrong…but if it’s muscular what type of doctor do you go see? Orthopedics don’t really deal with “just” muscle aches, which all of us know how “just” muscle aches can be quite debilitating. Maybe you just need fine tuning on the muscular system!
In these time, we can retrain the nervous system and the muscles to respond. We think exercising will do this, and yes, sometimes it does, but sometimes during exercise the strong muscles just take over and the weaker ones don’t participate. This is kind of letting an older sibling speak for a younger sibling. We need to get the “younger sibling”talking. M.A.T. does that.
Muscle Activation Techniques can be confusing but it doesn’t have to be…with my fingers I will apply a force directly to the muscle we are trying to strengthen instead of generally like in an exercise. When we get all the muscles working together as a great team then less stress and tension and more strength and mobility.
Now, who doesn’t need that? We all do! From the active athlete, to anyone who gets injured, to the older less active person…we all could use M.A.T. Ask me how it can help you!

What does training with Fit by Brit look like? Well, it depends on many factors such as your goals but we may start with you lying on a table! We would assess your body’s capable motion, comparing your left to your right. We assess if your body is struggling with any motions to make sure your movements in exercise are safe and effective. If your body isn’t functioning properly a couple of things could happen…the exercises could be ineffective or may be detrimental to your progress. Let’s make sure your body is ready for the motions you put your body through to avoid road blocks. Nothing worse then ready to reach your goals only to be sidelined.
