🌴🤿 Our dive crew may be in Roatan, Honduras this week exploring some of the best diving in the Caribbean, but don’t worry—the shop is still OPEN and business as usual! Roatan sits along the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef system in the world and a favorite destination for divers.

🌊 Congratulations to our newest divers! 🌊
What a great weekend in Panama City Beach! We certified new Open Water Scuba Divers, Advanced Divers, Rescue Divers, and had a Dive Master Candidate checking off skills. We made memories that will last a lifetime. From first breaths underwater to taking diving skills to the next level, this group absolutely crushed it!

🦑 DID YOU KNOW? Squid vs. Cuttlefish 🦑
This photo features a squid cruising over the reef!
While squid and cuttlefish are close relatives, they prefer very different neighborhoods in the ocean.
🌊 Squid are often found in open water, offshore reefs, and deeper ocean environments. They’re built for speed and spend much of their lives actively swimming.
🐚 Cuttlefish usually stay closer to the seafloor around seagrass beds, reefs, and sandy bottoms in shallower coastal waters where they can hide and hunt.
Here’s a fun fact:
You can find cuttlefish throughout the Atlantic, Pacific, and Caribbean… right?
❌ Nope!
👉 Cuttlefish are found in the Eastern Atlantic, Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific—but not in the Caribbean Sea.
🦑 Squid? They’re found in oceans all over the world, including the Caribbean where this photo was taken.
