Coach Brad Macha isn't new to Teurlings Catholic, he's been helping build this program for 19 years. Now, we are proud to announce him as our new Head Wrestling Coach!

As a competitor, Coach Macha was a 4-time LHSAA State Champion and a 2-time USA Wrestling All-American. His passion for the sport never left the mat, it just moved to the coaching corner.

In 19 years as an assistant at TCHS, Coach Macha helped guide the Rebels to 12 State Championships and 3 State Runner-Up finishes, mentoring 63 individual State Champions, 53 State Runner-Ups, and countless All-Americans along the way. He has served on the Louisiana USA Wrestling Board of Directors for 16 years, was named NHSCA Louisiana Assistant Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2011, and earned National Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2011. For 25 years, he has also served as president and head coach of the Rebel Wrestling Club, a non-profit youth organization right here in Lafayette.

And the Macha legacy on Teurlings Drive runs deep. Daughter Isabella, Class of 2023, graduated as TCHS Valedictorian and is now a UL Biology graduate pursuing Pre-Med Optometry. Son Carter, Class of 2027, is a 3x State Wrestling Champion and 2x All-District Football player. Son Noah, Class of 2028, plays football and is making his mark on the mat as well, finishing 6th in 2025 and 3rd in 2026.

This family IS Rebel Wrestling. Welcome to the next chapter, Coach Macha!

Congratulations, Mr. Ricky Landry!

Teurlings Catholic High School is incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, Ricky Landry has been named the Louisiana Athletic Trainers' Association Clinical/Outreach Athletic Trainer of the Year!

This award honors athletic trainers who represent the profession with excellence in clinical and outreach settings while helping educate the community on the value of athletic training services, and there is no one more deserving than Mr. Ricky!!

After returning to sports medicine to pursue his passion, Ricky helped build outreach athletic training right here in Acadiana, providing long-standing care and coverage for our Rebel student-athletes. His dedication, expertise, and genuine love for this community have made a lasting impact on countless young men and women who have come through our doors.

Mr. Ricky, thank you for everything you do for our athletes and for the Acadiana community. This honor is incredibly well deserved. We are so proud of you!

Teurlings Catholic High School is thrilled to announce Zach LaFleur (TCHS '14) as our new Head Baseball Coach, and his journey back to Teurlings Catholic is one worth celebrating!

Coach LaFleur knows Rebel Baseball firsthand. A three-year letter winner at TCHS, he helped lead the Rebels to the Class 4A State Championship in 2012 and to the state semifinals in 2013, earning LSWA Class 4A All-State honors as a senior.

From there, his baseball career only got better. At LSU-Eunice, he earned NJCAA Division II Third-Team All-American honors, led the nation with 63 stolen bases as a sophomore, and was part of a national championship team as a freshman. He then went on to play at UL Lafayette under legendary head coach Tony Robichaux, appearing in 91 career games as an outfielder.

After his playing days, Coach LaFleur joined the UL Ragin' Cajuns coaching staff in 2021, working his way from graduate assistant to full-time assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. During his time on staff, he was part of one Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship (2022), one regular season Championship (2024), and four NCAA Regional appearances (2022, 2023, 2024, 2026).

A two-time UL graduate with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a Master's in Sports Management, Coach LaFleur brings elite-level experience, deep ties to this community, and a genuine love for Teurlings Catholic back to where it all started.
