We need your help! EAA Chapter 1607 is hoping to participate in the North Lake Travis Lucky Ducky Race, and a $50 donation nominates our nonprofit for a chance to be selected.

✈️ Please Welcome Our New EAA Chapter 1607 Secretary!

We are proud to announce that Jim Shipstead has been elected to the EAA Chapter 1607 Board of Directors and will serve as our new Secretary!

Jim’s passion for aviation began at just three years old with his first flight in a Beech V-tail Bonanza—and that passion has continued throughout his life. Now retired after an impressive 50-year career in mechanical engineering, energy infrastructure, and technical leadership, Jim also earned his FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate in 1972 and is currently pursuing his Private Pilot Certificate.

As Secretary of EAA Chapter 1607, Jim is excited to help promote aviation education, support our Young Eagles program, and continue building a welcoming community for pilots, aircraft builders, and aviation enthusiasts.

Please join us in welcoming Jim to the Board! We are excited to have him as part of the EAA 1607 leadership team. ✈️🛩️
