On Saturday, October 10, the community is invited to West Point STEAMfest: The Art of Innovation, a free event at Hawkes Library and the Chattahoochee Riverwalk.

From coding and circuits to digital art, music, and robotics, STEAMfest will explore the connection between West Point’s rich textile manufacturing history and the technology shaping our future. There will be plenty of hands-on opportunities for kids and families to discover something new!

As part of the event, students participating in the Manufacture Your Music competition will also have their work recognized and featured at STEAMfest. Come experience an afternoon where history, creativity, and technology come together!

Shoutout #2 goes out to Braylon Meadows on the 8th grade 999 team. Yes, we are bragging on the 8th grade team today. We have to when so many of them mentor our younger teams! Braylon is always ready to go above and beyond for Cougar Strong Racing. From learning different aspects of the car to helping with presentations. There have been several races that he has brought his own camera to a race to make sure the perfect shot was taken for our presentations. Thank you Braylon for being part of Cougar Strong Racing!

We are behind on team shoutouts! So today we will be doing 2 to catch up!! First up Owyn Wojnar. Owyn is on our 8th grade team 999. He is extremely valuable to his team in numerous way. He does a little of everything! Driver, presentation, and works on the car. He is always quick to volunteer to help out in anyway possible. Thank you Owyn for being part of Cougar Strong Racing!
