We wrapped up our fishing season this past weekend at the Georgia High School Association State Bass Fishing Championship on Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville.
While the tournament did not end with the results we were hoping for, it was still an outstanding season for the LaGrange High Bass Fishing Team. The fishing conditions were extremely tough throughout the weekend, with only one LaGrange team bringing in a full limit.
Hunter Headrick & Ford Adams were our highest-finishing team, placing 30th out of 111 teams with a five-fish limit weighing 10 lbs 4 oz.
Reif Hollaway & Trigger Osbahr weighed in 2 fish for 6 lbs 9 oz, including one fish that weighed nearly 5 pounds.
RJ Harper & Roswell Swanson battled through a difficult day on the water and finished with 2 keeper fish.
We are incredibly proud of what our anglers accomplished during our first season as a program, including qualifying three teams for the state championship. This year was filled with growth, learning experiences, and memories that will help build a strong foundation for the future of our team.
We could not have made this season possible without the support of our amazing boat captains, sponsors, parents, and coach. Thank you to everyone who supported our anglers throughout the year.
We are already looking forward to next season and can’t wait to watch our anglers continue to grow both on and off the water.

Another great weekend on the water for our anglers!
This past Saturday, the LaGrange High Bass Fishing Team competed in the final Georgia High School Association State Qualifier on Lake Hartwell, and we are proud to announce that we qualified our third team for the state tournament!
Congratulations to RJ Harper & Roswell Swanson on their qualification. The duo brought in 12 lbs, earning a 20th-place finish out of 221 teams.
We would also like to recognize Hunter Headrick & Ford Adams for another strong performance, finishing 33rd out of 221 teams with 11 lbs.
We now turn our focus to the State Tournament on May 9th at Lake Sinclair. Our goal is to continue building on this momentum and hopefully qualify at least one team for the High School Fishing National Championship in Kentucky, and bring a State Championship Trophy back to LaGrange!
We are proud of the hard work and dedication our anglers continue to show each tournament. Let’s keep it rolling!

What a great weekend on the water!
The LaGrange High Bass Fishing Team traveled to Clarks Hill Lake this past weekend to compete in our second tournament of the season, and our anglers represented our program extremely well.
We are proud to announce that we had another team qualify for the Georgia High School Association State Bass Fishing Championship in May! Congratulations to Trigger Osbahr and Reif Hollaway on their qualification!
Tournament Results: Out of 226 Teams
Hunter Headrick & Ford Adams – 15th place with 14 lbs 3 oz
Trigger & Reif – 32nd place with 12lbs 3oz and officially qualified for the state tournament
Ella & Case – 69th place with 9 lbs 11 oz
During Friday’s practice, Ella also caught her personal best largemouth bass, weighing 3 lbs 8 oz.
All of our teams found success throughout the weekend by putting a Dirty Jigs Tackle Shaky Head to work, which helped them land the fish that made these finishes possible.
Beyond the competition, it was a great weekend for our anglers to spend time together and continue building strong team relationships off the water.
We would like to give a big thank you to our sponsors and boat captains who make opportunities like this possible for our anglers.
Our team now turns its focus to our final qualifying tournament on April 11th at Lake Hartwell, where we hope to qualify our final two teams for the state tournament.
