🇮🇪 A LITTLE IRISH VISIT, LAGUNA STYLE! 🌴🎯

We were delighted to welcome our friends from Belmont Bowling Club in Ireland for a friendly at LBLBC before they headed off to Arizona for the 2026 US Open November 1-7!

Representing Laguna Beach were Randy Hatfield, Curt Bartsch, Dru Murphy and Tom Richeson, who hosted Belmont’s Raymond Barr, Tony Budde, Norman Thompson and Daniel Spratt.

The day brought some friendly competition: Belmont swept both 3-bowl pairs matches, but Laguna came back to claim the Rinks victory! A little back-and-forth is what makes a good bowls day. 😉

And naturally, the fun didn’t end on the green. After a brief (and apparently expensive!) introduction to the mysteries of American parking rules, everyone regrouped with Ginger Hatfield at the Royal Hawaiian for tropical cocktails, authentic Hawaiian cuisine and plenty of good company. 🍹🌺

That’s what we love about lawn bowls: great competition, new friendships and the chance to connect with bowlers from around the world.

To our friends from Belmont, thank you for stopping by. Have a fantastic US Open in Arizona. Best of luck, and bowl well! 🏆

Come for the bowls. Stay for the friendships. 💚
