We started our day giving thanks to all those who died serving our country and ended the day with fun water games and patriotic art activities. What a fun day we had!

The adventure continues!

Thank you to Izzy and the whole team at Surfers Healing for an amazing day out on the waves at Doheny Beach. Glennwood residents and families from the Thompson Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center at CHOC, Orange rode the waves and enjoyed a picnic lunch thanks to our collaboration with Scott Kibbey and the California State Parks, Orange Coast District. The adaptive surfing program offered first time and more experienced wave riders a perfect day experiencing the joys of surfing with the pros!!

Our very own Spencer is our super triathlon athlete. Spencer wanted to complete a sprint triathlon and with the help of our very own staff member Michael he has successfully completed two. This year he shaved off an hour from his time from last year’s race. Big thanks to Coach Michael for helping Spencer reach his goal. Amazing! We are so proud of him for his determination and courage! He is a true example of anything is possible if we just dream big and have the heart of a warrior! Well done Spencer! You inspire us all to chase our dreams and just do it!!

Some Residents had a day-long adventure to the Renaissance Faire! They had a fun filled day of dressing up, watching shows, in person experiences with character actors, hunting for gnomes, enjoying giant turkey legs, and learning about renaissance age printing and coin making, crafting, metal carving and pewter pouring.
Their whirlwind adventure was the ultimate experience they will not soon forget!
