Non-Conference schedule is set 🤠

The name change is part of a 10-year $5 million deal, the largest in the history of McNeese Athletics and the Southland Conference.

Last night the Pokes picked up their first win of the season and their first win in 651 days. The Cowboys defense led the way for most of the night until the 4th quarter when Stephen Johnson blocked the Southern field goal attempt, leading to a Clifton McDowell touchdown.

On the next possession, the defense forced a punt on 4 plays when the Southern long snapper overshot the punter which led to him kicking the ball out and giving McNeese the ball on the 2. McDowell scored again and the Cowboys would end up winning 21-7.

The Defense held the Jaguars rushing attack to 66 yards on 39 attempts and the offense overall to under 200 yards. This win moved McNeese to 4-0 all-time against Southern and 16-2 all-time against the SWAC.
