Did you know the American alligator is one of the world's greatest conservation success stories? After being officially removed from the endangered list in 1987, wild populations in Louisiana have rebounded to more than 3 million.

Today, our state-regulated management model generates millions for rural and coastal economies while ensuring the population stays healthy and balanced. I'm proud to be part of this sustainable harvest as a commercial guide, helping to protect our wildlife and wetlands.

🐊Attention 2026 Alligator Hunters🐊

If you’re booked to hunt with Mareno’s Outfitters this upcoming alligator season, don’t forget that you must purchase your Louisiana Alligator Sport Hunter License before your hunt.

To purchase your license:

1. Visit https://louisianaoutdoors.com and create an account (or log in if you already have one).
2. Important: Don’t look under the Hunting or Fishing menus. The alligator license has its own dedicated “Alligator” tab in the drop-down menu.
3. Select either:
Resident Alligator Sport Hunter License, or
Nonresident Alligator Sport Hunter License

Getting your license ahead of time will help ensure a smooth check-in on hunt day.
