The LCYC is a club of small boat sailors who share the passion of sailing. Membership is nonexclusive and inexpensive and we work hard to keep it that way. We promote sailing with free sailing lessons, sailboat racing, cruising activities and much more, all centered around a family atmosphere. Our grounds really are not safe to be on right now. A couple of board members have gone out to check on things and here is their report.
All the trailer boats and slip boats are good. The hobies and sunfish are there. The furniture underneath is there. The tide is starting to go down.
Please to not attempt to drive into the property.

🇺🇸 Here is the info for the Freedom Regatta July 4th 2024.
⛵️ Classes will be determined at Skippers meeting at 12 Noon. Expected classes are Sunfish, Lasers, C22, Portsmouth, Monohull, and Beachcats. Linked to this post is the form for those who want to attend the event with or without sailing. ⛺️ The club grounds will be open for free camping Wednesday and Thursday Night to racers. There are also nearby hotels.
🍽 There will be a "light the pit" after racing, bring your own food. There will also be food at the Event Center, which is adjacent to our club grounds across the lake, and nearby restaurants!
🎶 Bands are scheduled to start playing at 6pm with other events being held at the Event Center. 🎆 Ending with a fireworks display from the City.

We're planning a Freedom Regatta on July 4th this year from noon till 4 pm. Details are coming soon.
Following the Regatta, there will be Bands and food just around the lake at the Event Center starting at 6 pm with Fireworks to end the celebration later! Check it out!

We will be experiencing another strong weather event on Thursday into Friday. Please make sure your vessels are secured properly. Yesterday we had several boats damaged. We can't stress enough how important it is to secure your boats!!
