A Letter to Our Ballet Havasu Community

For over 20 years, Ballet Havasu has been honored to serve the families of Lake Havasu City. Together, we have trained young dancers in the art of classical ballet, built discipline and confidence, and brought full-length ballets and beautiful performances to our community stage.

It has been a privilege beyond words.

After much consideration, Ballet Havasu will close its doors, with our final day of operation being Friday, February 27th. This decision comes after ongoing challenges with enrollment and retention that have made it difficult for our nonprofit to continue operating sustainably.

This is not an easy goodbye.

We are incredibly proud of what this organization has accomplished over two decades — the dancers who found their love for ballet here, the families who supported productions year after year, the teachers who poured their hearts into every class, and the community members who filled the audience seats.

While this chapter is ending, the opportunity for classical ballet education in our community is not.

The studio space that has been our home this past year and a half also houses another dance program. They have generously created a separate Classical Division so that students may continue their ballet training in a familiar format and structure. All of Ballet Havasu’s current instructors will be transitioning into that program, ensuring that the standards, curriculum, and care our dancers are accustomed to will continue.

Our deepest hope is that every dancer who has trained with us will continue their classical education and keep growing in the art form we all love.

Though our nonprofit is closing, the legacy of Ballet Havasu lives on in every student, every performance, and every memory made on stage.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Lake Havasu City, for 20 years of support, applause, and belief in the power of ballet.

🌸 Jump into Spring with Ballet Havasu! 🌸

Our new ballet season is here, and we’d love for you to join us on a journey that dances all the way through the end of May. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned ballerina, there’s a place for you at the barre.

✨ Spring Performance – April 26th
Our spring show is sure to delight and gives dancers the opportunity to shine on stage and celebrate what they’ve learned.

Nervous to start ballet?
If you’re age 11 and up and have never tried ballet before — don’t worry, you’re not alone. We offer a Ballet Basics class designed specifically to help new dancers learn terminology, technique, and confidence before stepping into our foundational classes.

Our Tiny Toes & Twirls class (ages 2–4) is the perfect first dance experience — focusing on coordination, confidence, and joyful movement in a supportive environment.

🌸 Spring Session Enrollment is Open
🎭 Includes a fun, age-appropriate creative dance and fun!

💵 $50 per month

Ballet Havasu is welcoming beginner dancers ages 12+ this spring — even if you’ve never taken a ballet class before.

Our focus is on:
• Strong, age-appropriate technique
• Building confidence and strength
• A supportive, no-pressure environment
• Progress at your own pace

Spring enrollment is now open, and this is a wonderful time to start — especially as we prepare for our April performance season.
