The Lake Orion Lady Dragons had a phenomenal day, thanks to Red Thunder Robotics for putting on an outstanding girls' event “InnovateHER All Girls Event” in Laingsburg that promotes STEM education among young females.
For this event, three Lake Orion FTC teams, the Lady Dragons dominated five qualification matches, going undefeated and securing the number one spot before advancing to the playoffs. As Alliance Captains, they showed exceptional leadership with the Hartland E-Gals. Despite finishing as the second-place Finalist Alliance Captains (losing by just four points!), the team gained priceless experience in overcoming hurdles and exploring new opportunities.
We couldn’t be more proud!

The Lake Orion Lady Dragons are amped up and ready for the InnovateHER All Girls FTC Robotics Event! This year the Middle School girls are from Waldon Robotics Team 12862, Oakview CyberDragons, and the Hydra Dragons Teams!!
Not only have they worked for this moment to share the collaboration between teams but they also have strived to learn how to drive the Hydra Dragons, Hydra-Glyph Robot and to provide a unique perspective on Lake Orion FTC Robotics. A huge heartfelt thank you to our Lake Orion gentlemen Carter, Nic, and Zac for being the pillars of support and encouragement to the girls throughout this incredible journey, empowering them every step of the way.
We would like to share our gratitude to the Lions Club who provided a sponsorship just for this girls event. Thank you for your commitment to girls in STEM! Lake Orion Lions Club
