I often remind people that grief isn't about “getting over” someone or something that mattered deeply to you. It is about learning how to move through the experience while carrying the love, memories, and meaning forward with you.
A few things that can support you along the way:
• Give yourself time. Allow your experience to unfold at your own pace.
• Keep meaningful memories close. Photos, stories, traditions, or simply talking about someone can be a beautiful way to honor the connection.
• Take care of your body. Rest, nourishing food, movement, fresh air, and quiet moments can all support your emotional well-being.
• Use your breath. A few slow, intentional breaths can bring your attention back to the present moment and create a sense of calm.
• Allow support in. A conversation with someone you trust or professional support can give you a safe place to process what you're experiencing.
I have worked with many clients over the years using hypnosis, NLP, and coaching to help them find greater peace, comfort, and inner strength as they move through grief.
I also created my Grieving hypnosis recording for those who would like another supportive tool they can use at home.
You don't have to rush your journey. You can honor what was, appreciate what remains, and gently begin creating what comes next.
