Riptide Breaststroke swimmers showed up big tonight.
All swam faster than this morning and improved their positions
200 breast - Bryce won the E final (16 and under) dropping 7 seconds from this morning and only 1.5 seconds off her FLAGS time. Madeline swam in the same final and crushed another lifetime best time.
50 breast - C final Bryce swam a little slower than the morning after a lot of tough racing, D final close race had Vanessa drop to a best time, and E final saw Madeline hit a lifetime best. And the lone big swimmer Luis, broke 28s for the first time to jump up a lot on his seeded time.
Well done tonight riptide. Lots of rest and some more fast racing tomorrow
Go Riptide 💚💙

Tonight was one for the books
All our girls made it back to finals tonight with some amazing results
First was Joelle participating in her first flags final and came out with a best time in her 50 free
Then following her was a real stand out performance from Bryce. Out of Lane 4 she won the 50 breast pulling away from the field. She was so dominating in the race that she won by a full second in a 50!
And follow that we had Madeline drop about .6 of a second from her best this morning to jump 2 places into 12th overall for her 50 breast.
Well done ladies, your coaches and your team is very very proud of you and the work you’ve put in to get here.
Go Riptide 💙💚

Amazing performances from our breaststroke queens tonight in their 200 breaststroke events
Madeline dropping more time in the B final for an overall 2 sec lifetime best time
And Bryce Palmer swimming on pure adrenaline dropped a whopping 7 secs to almost clinch the A final from lane one. She was also only 1.3 seconds off the USA Swimming Futures Championship cut.
Well done both these ladies! Their hard work is really paying off!
Go Riptide!! 💙💚

Fun swimming this evening and had to pull out the eye black to get the team pumped up or the relays.
Both teams had great swims!!!
A couple of our former swimmers back from college Lutnya and sister Anya, made it back for finals and maintained their positions. They both swam well in the morning, Lutnya doing two personal best times in her 200 breast and 100 fly and Anya was within a few seconds of her 400 IM 200 freestyle.
And not to forget a great C final swim by Bryce Palmer dropping 4 seconds to almost break 2:50 in her 200 breast!!! Well done Bryce!!!

So this is about a week late but just another congratulations to our flags swimmers.
On the final day of competition (Sunday July 16) we had some more amazing swims from our two ladies in finals.
Bryce Palmer swimming another best time by two seconds to grab 4th place overall and less than half a second away from a futures qualifying time. That is a competition that is held for some of the most elite swimmers in the country going out to try qualifying for junior and senior nationals. We done Bryce and next year you got it.
Madeline made it three out of three breaststroke consolation finals and swam a best time to maintain her 12th position overall
Our other swimmer, Nico Competed in what was his first flags and came away with times that were less than a second off his best and a wealth of experience heading into his first high school season.
Well done Riptide and good luck to the athletes going to Senior Champs this weekend in Ocala

What a first day our Riptide swimmers had at FLAGs
Bryce Palmer qualifying 4th into both the 50 and the 200 breast finals going best times.
She followed that up with outstanding performances in the evening again to go two more best times. She held her place in the 200 and had an incredible swim to grab 2nd place in the 50 breaststroke.
In coach Jared’s opinion, the best race he’s seen her race since he’s been coaching her. Well done Bryce!!!!
Madeline Dolan also had a fantastic day of racing. She PR’d in her two morning swims as well just missing out on breaking 3:00 in her 200 and 38s in her 50.
She stepped up in finals and crunches the 3:00 barrier in her 200 to hold her place and do another best time and again very narrowly missed breaking 38s in the 50 again. 38.01
These girls have worked hard and we’re excited to see how they do for the rest of the meet

The smiles say it all. What a wonderful weekend at our annual Riptide Winter Invitational. We had a number of best times and heat winners all throughout (the rubber duckys were a nice treat).
A huge thank you goes out to the coaches and parents this weekend, it was a long one and we couldn’t do without the help and support. From set up to take down and all the volunteers in between kept everything running smoothly.
And finally well done to all the swimmers. Numbers of championship swim meet cuts and best times were swum even in the weird cold weather on Saturday and then backed up tremendously well on Sunday.
Thank you to all those teams that came it and supported us as well.
Looking forward to taking a small but mighty team to Flags in two weeks.

Another great evening of swimming. Thank you our parents for some pics from the bleachers. Our two finalist swam great and both improved in their prelim times and improved their seeds going the meet.
One last day tomorrow
Let’s go Ritptide
