This past weekend, our middle school boys traveled to Orlando and played up — and every single game came down to the wire. Losses by one and two points. They battled until the final buzzer, every time!!

The individual growth. The collective growth. Watching them come together as one unit, locked in and ready to compete against older, more experienced competition, was encouraging!

But the moment that stood out above all of it had nothing to do with the scoreboard. One of our players pulled aside and asked where he should start his Bible reading journey. That question is exactly what GTE is built for. We are not just developing athletes. We are raising young athletes of faith, character, and purpose.

Wins and losses will come and go. But the winning of souls? That lasts forever. All glory to God. 👏👏👏

The Legacy Team scrimmage against the ISA Development Team was such a great experience for everyone involved!! We’re incredibly thankful to be connected with programs that value development, encouragement, and helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. Iron sharpens iron, and environments like this make everybody better!!

The Legacy Program at GTE is for our 5th–8th grade development program focused on teaching athletes how to compete at a higher level while building confidence, basketball IQ, discipline, and teamwork.

Today, May 7, 2026, marks the 75th annual National Day of Prayer! A day where millions of Americans across all 50 states pause together to pray for our nation, our leaders, and the next generation.

✨ A LITTLE HISTORY ✨
The roots of prayer in America go all the way back to 1775, when the Continental Congress called the colonies to pray during the Revolutionary War. President Lincoln did the same in 1863 during the Civil War. But it was in 1952 — after Billy Graham stood on the steps of the Capitol and challenged Congress — that this day became official, signed into law by President Truman. In 1988, President Reagan permanently set the date as the first Thursday of every May.

This year's theme: "Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations" — 1 Chronicles 16:24
