Still fishing just a few miles East of the islands. There is a large school of walleye from the last set of nets East of Kelly’s all the way to the Vermillion Dump and beyond. The fish are scattered in active pockets and sometimes you really need to grind on them, while other times they’re 🔥 up. We expect the density of this school will continue to grow as water temps decline and fish move higher in the water column. They’re currently wanting a fast presentation on harnesses and spoons. Many of the fish we’re catching are spitting up 3” to4” Shad in the net but we’re still not having much success on large Crankbaits, however small jointed Crankbaits are also producing well for some anglers.

The walleye bite is heating up again and the walleye keep getting closer to home!! Dennis and Ryan Dodson fished aboard the Juicebox this morning with Captain Blake and Ryan. These boys flat out wacked them on TruTrips with spoons and harnesses back 80-110 feet. Yes we have dates available and Yes we want your fishing business.

It was a grind this morning but EyeHooker Black was able to put a board together with just one fish short of crew limits for Kyler and his crew from Supreme Camper Detailing and Power Wash. Conditions were not perfect today but our best program was TruTrips 80-120 back with spoons and harnesses NE of the Cedar Point Dump.

Kyler specializes in camper washes and detailing and has been in business since 2020. Look him up on Facebook or give him a call at 419-308-8169 to get on his schedule.

The Stevens crew also had a productive morning aboard the Juicebox with Captain Ryan

After spending the month of August running several miles East of the Weather Buoy putting more than 60 miles on the clock everyday, today felt like a short commute at just half the distance that we’ve been running. It was a nice steady bite for us with an excellent grade of walleye. Fish were taken on spoons and harnesses behind TruTrips at 70-80 back on one side and 110-120 back on the other side. It looks like tomorrow might get a little sporty but we’re planning to leave the dock at 7:00 am sharp. Now thats a lot of walleye for early September!!

Improved weather conditions for the EyeHooker Boys and the Pedigro work crew this morning. Fishing wasn’t fast for us today but it was steady, the grade was awesome and the walleye are slowly moving closer to home. We need a few less degrees in water temps and the bite will be 🔥 again. We’re marking well and the fish we’re catching are full of Shad.
