Ran a trip for Mark 1 Charters today all the way to the Flemish cap and beyond....took 34 of their 36 all quality fish. We picked at them never got them going good though. Until next time and good luck tomorrow perch'n group.

Well the consensus is in...
1) Whoever told me if you mixed white perch in with yellow perch no one could tell: WRONG THOSE THINGS ARE NASTY AND MUDDY TASTING. Maybe if your guests are drunk and starving you could pass them along🤣
2) Three of us tried a little piece and all agreed, Nope!
3) The little farm cat we adopted after his momma got killed is going to love us because we have a few pieces for him.
4) Glad my dad taught me to catch and eat the good fish.
5) On a scale of 1 to 10 White perch get a 3, maybe if you soaked them in something to change the taste, used them for fish taco's, covered in tartar sauce better yet throw them back for the seaguls they need to eat too.

Ok I have customers ask me all the time what do white perch taste like. I honestly couldn't answer that question so this past weekend I kept a half dozen or so while perch fishing to fry up and see for myself. First impression they are a little strong smelling vs the yellow perch so I'm hesitant.
