🏁 Last Wingless Race of the Year! 🏁

The Lightning Sprints raced wingless Saturday, 9/12/26. I’m not a huge fan of running without a wing, but we got the job done and had a great night! 🤘

We had muddpacking and a few hot laps, so we left the car set up for the heat to see what we had.

Heat Race: Started P6 and finished P6.

After the heat, I talked with Jayson, who was able to watch my heat race, and explained how the car felt. We came to the conclusion that I was lacking some drive off the corners. He asked a few people in the pits for advice, and we made some adjustments going into the main.

🏁 Main Event Goals:
✅ Finish the race
✅ Don’t get lapped
✅ Challenge myself to finish ahead of our club President, Dustin 😂

Starting P10 with Dustin behind me, the pressure was on!

I got a great start when the green flag dropped, which unfortunately was quickly followed by a caution. On the restart, another great start and I was able to run some really good laps. I could definitely feel the changes we made working.

I know I made a few mistakes along the way, but all in all, it was a great run! Finished P9 — and in front of Dustin! 😜🏁

Main Event goals: MET! 🎯

I may not have finished higher in the lineup, but I wasn’t lapped and I held my own out there. Even got complimented afterward that I looked fast and was impressive! That made the night even better.

Big thanks to everyone who helped in the pits and to Jayson for watching the heat and helping me figure out what the car needed. Couldn’t do it without the support! ❤️🏁

Next and Final Race for Lightning Sprints Season at Barona Speedway is October 10th. There is a clash race at Kern on the 25th but with other commitments to school activities we won’t make that one.

Even though I wasn’t even close to being alive when 9-11 happened..
