Regretfully, we are canceling the September 14th Schooling Show. An elderly horse was behaving differently, and his temperature was elevated. The vet came and was concerned that there could be a blockage in his abdomen. He was transported to Tufts. When they scoped him, they saw something in his guttural pouch. A sample was taken that tested positive for Strangles. This horse was vaccinated for Strangles last fall.

TO BE CAUTIOUS WE ARE QUARANTINING FOR 30 DAYS.

WE REGRET TO SAY THAT TODAY THE SEPTEMBER 10TH SHOW MUST BE POSTPONED PER THE STATE VETERINARIAN

A young horse in our main barn had a reaction to the Strangles vaccine. Although we are told, as it is a reaction, and not a result of contact, which isn’t contagious.

We are trying to reschedule. If not possible, or if the date isn’t good for any competitors, we are offering credit to one of the this seasons remaining shows or refunds. Just let us know.

It was a fun first show for 2023. Just a little wet. No bugs no dust!! Just great people.
