Some of the best training happens after the sun goes down.
Not every lesson happens in the arena or during a scheduled training session. Sometimes it happens while we’re cleaning stalls, hauling manure, feeding horses, moving equipment, or just getting the never-ending list of farm chores done.
Standing tied quietly, watching tractors go by, seeing headlights and trailers moving around, hearing strange noises, learning to wait patiently, and realizing that all the commotion is really no big deal — that’s training too.
These quiet nights around the farm create horses and mules that are more confident, patient, and prepared for the real world.
Sometimes the best training doesn’t look like training at all.
