Laika threw an impressive first pitch out for the Round Rock Express last night ⚾️🏟️🙌🏽! What a fun moment in time for all of us 🥹. Thank you to for having her!

These women have influenced my life in the best of ways. Asha Aunty came into my life 45 years ago and shared the gift of Bharatanatyam. She introduced me to Padmini Aunty through summer workshops over 30 years ago and I am ever grateful. To this day, both of these amazing women guide and inspire me through their passion and knowledge of dance and life itself. I love and revere these women immensely 🩷🙏🏽. This rare photo was taken at my students Arangetram earlier this year in Bangalore, where both of them were honored 🪷

I keep pinching myself, just a proud parent over here! In the span of just weeks, Laika has achieved so much. From becoming Texas DECA president to being crowned Miss Texas Teen USA 😧. I know her grandfather is keeping a watchful eye on her from above with a big smile, eyebrows raised high and fully taking all the credit ☺️!

And it all begins!

One week until Miss Texas Teen USA 2025! I am incredibly proud of my girl Laika…she is in Orlando for a week with Texas Deca for ICDC and one day after she gets back, she heads to Houston to compete for the title of Miss Texas Teen USA 🥲👑👸🏽. So many thanks to Trupti Samant for sponsoring this amazing photoshoot ♥️. Trupti has been photographing my dance school’s annual recital for the past 12 years, plus all of my Arangetram students! As a physician, as a father, a husband and a human being, our dad was an inspiration to so many. The love and devotion to his family and career is something we will all stay in awe of…a constant reminder of what is important…of what we need to model for our children and of what beautifully carries someone from this world to the next. He was always ready for hugs, for philosophy, for adventure, for family, for mom’s food, for his grandkids laughs, for soaking up books, for walks, for smiles, for sunny boy….Happy birthday Daddy. We love you so very much ♥️

The first picture is from his birthday 2 years ago, our last birthday spent with him 💔. He is missed.

It is difficult to believe it’s been a year since we lost our dear father. Not a day goes by where we don’t think of him. Our hearts are still so heavy from the magnitude of our loss. We miss you dad. Our lives were forever changed in October 20th, 2022. We are taking good care of mom…she is so strong and blessed to have so many loving and supportive friends, but she misses her partner of over 60 years. Our world will never be the same without you. We are trying to move forward and embrace the lyrics of your favorite song, “Que Sera Sera” (whatever will be, will be) but the loss of you is so much more than we could ever have imagined. Thank you for being the best dad and granddad. And thanks to all of our loving friends and family for all of your love and support. We are truly blessed ♥️🙏🏽
