Having grown up in a family of artisans, Lupe learned to become a skilled carpenter at a young age. After moving to America from Mexico, he began working in construction immediately and quickly learned to read, write and speak English. He has worked in many areas on the construction site, from painting and installing sheet rock to custom cabinetry and remodeling to managing crews as superintendent and many areas in between. He has a wealth of knowledge about the industry and what it takes to provide builders with exactly what they are looking for from a framing company. Lupe's hard work and ambition has not gone unrecognized. Aside from rapidly moving up in the companies he's worked for, he was awarded the Buffalo Framing and Truss Residential Division Employee of the First Quarter in 2009 with extraordinary numbers. This award was the result of closings, work ethic, and management. His record at that time stood at 35 houses in one month as superintendent. With his experience over the last twenty years, Lupe knew he had the knowledge and skills to operate his own framing company. Thus began Urban Pine Construction. Through word of mouth, business took off and UPC has been able to complete jobs spanning 100 miles outside of San Antonio into areas like Shertz, Cibalo, New Bransfels, Garden Ridge, Carrizo Springs, Kennedy, Refugio, and Sinton. Urban Pine Construction has builders throughout the San Antonio area that turn to them for jobs of all different sizes. Whether it be trac homes, middle way homes, or high-end custom homes, they are able to do the job and meet the highest standards of quality so the builder can have complete confidence in the structure of the building.
