A little over a month ago, we had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with NeuroMotif, a neurodiversity-affirming music practice, for a live music and dance class πΆ
They started by singing beautiful follow-along songs while connected to our mobile vibrotactile floors, giving students the opportunity to connect with the music in a new way. Then NY Lead Teacher, MJ, took over and got us moving and grooving!
We had such an incredible time and cannot wait for future collaborations! If youβd be interested in more events like this in New York City, drop a π in the comments!
Image Descriptions: This carousel includes 10 photos from a Feel the Beat and NeuroMotif collaboration class in Brooklyn, NY at Spoke the Hub Dancing. Some images show NeuroMotif members Brooke Slemmer, Sophie Kohn, and Taylor Andrews leading songs at standing microphones behind a mobile vibrotactile floor, with Brooke and Sophie also playing guitars. Other images show NY Lead Teacher Mary Jo Lasky leading students and NeuroMotif members through exercises, stretches, and choreography. Additional photos capture participants dancing together and sitting on the mobile floor.
