PAY Blue Wave & Baker Park Swim Teams This is a fan page for friends & family of the Phoenixville YMCA swimmers.

PAY offers both a year round competitive swim team, as well as a summer recreational team. We have a history of great performance, knowledge of technique and keeping the fun in the sport of swimming.

Congratulations to Audrey Abazi and Sam Verderame for their top 16 placements in the 50 Fly at Eastern Zones today!!!
Audrey - 32.11 - 16th place!
Sam - 30.43 - 10th place and tied the PAY 9-10 Boys team record set by Chris Hoops in 2005!

Weston Gale had an amazing week at his first Nationals, posting a 22.18 second drop in his 400 IM time trial, swimming the Nat cut time for the 100 Breast on his 100 split of the 200 Breast, and then beating that 100 split by .6 during his 100 Breast time trial today! Awesome swimming, Weston!!! 💪 🔥

Adding to PAY’s accomplishments in the pool this week, 2 of our National swimmers also earned new short course cuts for 2027 Nationals!
Congratulations to Nathan Deeney, whose persistence and determination paid off in the form of a 42.01 second drop in the 1650 Free, on the last day of a very long week of National competition! Way to go, Nate!!!!

Congratulations to Claire Mages for finishing 14th in the 1650 Free on the last day of a very long week of National competition!!! Claire swam an incredible race today, getting faster in the 2nd half of the race, while her competitors were slowing down. Additionally, Claire dropped 59.57 seconds from her entry time and 40th seed!!! 🔥
