As we approach our 1 year of being open, I wanted to share a bit of the process making the gym what it is.

From August of 2023 until January of 2024, I took the old space of the Spirit of Halloween and transformed it into the space you see now - From reflooring, repainting, redoing lighting and bathrooms. It was a helluva build, but I take every step and pour everything I have into it, just to really create the best space I can imagine for everyone. I hope you all enjoy the gym, and to see a bit of how I put it all together over time :)

Best way to hit biceps? Probably. If performed correctly. Imo, a standard bicep curl is one of the simplest exercises - you just need a dumbbell. But how you cue the curl, primarily in the lowered position, is the most important part of getting the most out of your bicep curl.

Roll the shoulder back, hold it in place, and get a deep stretch on the arm. While keeping the shoulder back, bring the elbow in front of the body - this creates a stable base for the exercise by engaging the muscles of the shoulder. This is starting position.

From there, stablize through the mid back, keeping the shoulder rolled back and down, and doing your best not to let the elbow move forward or backwards. This is full isolation of the bicep, and gives incredible work through the lengthened portion.

Do not curl too high. Up to 60 degrees from parallel is fine - any higher and the elbow will start to creep.

Bumper plates are awesome - but having enough for the gym two times over is even better. Our competition quality plates are in sizes of 10, 25, 35, 45, and 55 pounds

Hate hot gyms? We do too. Even when it's 100+ outside, you can be sure that here it's a nice, cool, 70 degrees.

Back to consistency after building the gym down here in Lancaster. Tons of forearm work putting this place together, and it pays off. Exercise and strength and even hypertrophy, are not dependent on being in the gym - but it does help.

So... about the treadmills...
Yes, we heard you. And trust us, it was probably even more frustrating to have them down for us, we don't like when things aren't functional. So, we did a thing, and brought in top-tier treadmills (to match everything else). What makes these special?
Not only do they top out at 16 mph, but they also have a touchscreen , premade programs for HIIT and other protocols built in, and not only have a max incline of 15 degrees, but also the option for a -3 degree decline.

We take your feedback seriously! Today we received the shipment to upgrade the weight capacity for many of our machines. First, we upgraded the pins on the ISO row to handle more than double the load as before!

Follow for more updates as we continue to upgrade many of our pieces to handle heavier loads and more weight over the next few days, or come by and try it out for yourself!

We get asked a lot about what the small machine at the front of the gym is. It's a tibialis machine! This works the muscle on the front of the shin. It doesn't take much weight to work this muscle with this machine, but there are a few cues to ensure you're getting the most out of it.
