Thank you to Lansdowne Woods of Virginia for inviting members of the Crime Prevention Unit to your Spring Health and Wellness Fair on Wednesday.

We had a wonderful time talking with your residents and meeting Sully, the former service dog for President George H.W. Bush.

The LCSO Crime Prevention Unit is responsible for planning and coordinating crime prevention activities throughout the county, with a strong emphasis on preventing property crimes.
Deputies assigned to the unit liaison with formal community organizations, businesses, homeowner associations, and other community groups to increase crime prevention awareness through training and education.

Yesterday, We participated in the Lansdowne Woods of Virginia Health & Wellness Fair. We enjoyed meeting many other senior services and the residents!

This past Saturday ten members of the LWVA Hiking Club made their way to beautiful Burke Lake and enjoyed their after hike lunch before returning to LWVA. The Club goes on its hiking adventure every third Saturday of the month. I'm looking for a shared rental if possible in Lansdowne Woods. I currently live in Waterford with family, am widowed after 52 years of marriage, have a small dog and am in excellent health. Yesterday Lansdowne Woods of Virginia 's Hiking Club hiked at Point of Rocks, Maryland. It was a beautiful day and a great time was had by all. Hey, Where is everybody? Wondering where our friends and neighbhors might be? Could they be at the Board of Members Meeting? Oh, I know, they are at the Dance Party with DJ Stacks. Or at Classic Cinema afternoon.
Then again, if it is Wednesday, they may be at the Fireside Lounge Happy Hour. Or having drinks and dinner at the Clubhouse at Skye’s Bistro? I know a group went to see My Fair Lady at the National Theater, Washington DC. Then again they may be having a few laughs at the Clubhouse with Illusions by Vick fun and amazing magical entertainment.
Hmm, have they gone on the Arlington National Cemetery History Tour, Arlington, VA? Oh, yes there is a Dance Party tonight, that is probably where they are.
It is very nice outside, maybe they are outdoors? Maybe they are getting in shape for the outdoors. Is everybody at the Gym Orientation, or at the new Yoga Balance, Stability & Confidence class, or at Meditation & Breath class?
Oh I know, they are with the Walking Group! Or was it the Hiking Group? Or at the Music Group?
Well, there is something for every interest at Lansdowne Woods of Virginia - no wonder I can't find anyone sitting around! Lansdowne Woods is a Great Place to Live!

Blane Ampthor is in Theater with a lecture on Guadalcanal, the Artisans in the Woods gift shop is open, there's a couple of guys playing chess in the Rotunda, the Pottery Club is hosting a workshop with a visiting teacher, the Notables are practicing for the upcoming Cabaret in the Auditorium, and there is a band setting up in Skye's Bistro.
