Your source for custom 1860s-style bats for vintage base ball! I was in the early stages of starting a vintage base ball team (yes, "base ball" was two words in the 1860s), and trying to source the equipment. I found uniforms, hats, bases, balls, but heck if I could find a good source for vintage bats! The biggest problem was that any that I tracked down had these big logos stamped on the side - N

If you don't know what kind of sandpaper to get, 400 grit is fine.

Turned my first maple bat this week!
"The bat is great - nice swing weight, and tremendous pop. Actually, one of my teammates hit with it as well and crushed it. He immediately offered me $100 and a Costco-sized bottle of gin for the bat (of course I said "no")."

I know a bat is okay to go out the door
when I start wanting to keep it for myself

The Capital Club of Lansing debuted three new JB bats this weekend at the Michigan Vintage Base Ball Festival in Frankenmuth! Three Echoes (the "standard"), all 34 inches long.
