What a day in Alma today!!

Competitive highlights include:
*placings for every dancer, including Margaret at her first competition ever
*overall trophy for Hazel
*stamps for Hazel, Mallory, Harrison, Nella, and Bel
*most promising novice for Harrison
*fifth place choreography and judges points in the reel for Hannah (and first $ prizes)

🏆I had the honor of receiving the Max McLeod award for teaching/overall points for the day. This was so special to be presented by my two teachers and there are so many teachers I look up to listed from previous years.

I included a couple of Alma nostalgia photos too ❤️

Awesome job to our team today!! Trophies, stamps, medals, and new levels!

I can’t wait to hear about it when I’m back in town!

Throwback to Celtic Classic 2019! Looking forward to the next generation of dancers competing this weekend ❤️

So proud of Stef-graduating today with a PhD in Music Theory! She danced all throughout college and grad school, studied for her members while completing her PhD, teaching music theory classes, and teaching dance in Austin! If you have any music-related highland dance questions, she has the answer! ❤️🎓

Another shoutout goes to Barb Gibson, who painted the special awards for the day (and the cards/bookmarks we had for sale and in the raffle). I think they were a hit!
