Aikiken and Aikijo are such a complementary and satisfying part of Aikido training. Refining Buki Waza strengthens not only the body, but the mind as well.

Whether stylistically from Saito, Toyoda, Sato, Chiba, Kobayashi, Tohei, Saotome, Nishio, Nakajima, and countless others, the beauty of Aikido Buki Waza develops uniquely for each one of us based on our own experiences. Stay on the Aiki path, and let the beauty unfold as it may.

The coolest things about Aikido are meeting new people, making new friends, fostering existing relationships, and learning new perspectives. Some photos from a recent seminar with Danijel Tomaševic Sensei from Germany. It was a super fun experience to train with everyone from Mt. Pleasant Shinkiryu Aiki Budo, and all the great practitioners from Germany. Huge congrats to Bill Mrdeza for his Nidan test, and Keith Palmer for his 1st Kyu test. Well done, guys!! Congrats!! 🫶🙏🙇‍♂️

Congratulations to Bryan F. and Corey S. on their recent 7th Kyu grading. Bryan and Corey found Aikido together earlier this year. Old college buddies with a bond of friendship, these guys have great enthusiasm, perseverance, and open minds for learning. Most importantly, they bring a great attitude and lots of smiles to the mat. Thank you for walking the Aiki path with me. 🙏🙇‍♂️💜

Congratulations to Bernie Pohl on a beautiful 4th Kyu grading. Though life and work can interfere with the fun stuff (like Aikido), Bernie perseveres and has grown and developed his Aikido well over time. Always a quick learner, his Aikido skills riff as hard as his guitar skills. Well done! 🫶🙏🙇‍♂️💙🎸
