MSUSSC is an MSU registered organization that many disciplines of shooting fall under. No experience necessary.
We have shotgun, pistol, rifle and action teams that compete locally and nationally Michigan State University Sports Shooting Club is a student organization that promotes shooting sports among several disciplines (see below). The MSU rifle team just competed at the MRPA May 2026 Conventional Prone CMP Match in Williamston, MI. Team member Bridget Kinna placed 3rd in metallic sights on Saturday with a score of 1581 - 71X

On Saturday 3 of the Shotgun members competed in the Southwest Conference Championships at Michigan Trapshooting Association. They shot s***t, and sporting clays. Parker Shay and Ryan McDonald ended up taking home awards! Thank you MTA for having them out!

On Saturday the Shotgun Team attended the Lowell Schools Invitational. They shot Sporting Clays and S***t. Ryan McDonald and Dylan Crysler both took home awards. Thank you Lowell Clay Target Team for having us out, we had a ton of fun!

Over the weekend, Action Team competed in the steel challenge collegiate championship at Hillsdale. Drew and Kyle competed in optics and earned 2nd place! Aj and Tamil participated in collegiate irons and achieved 3rd place!

Over the weekend we got the opportunity to help train field dogs with 🐶 We had a blast shooting live and simulated ducks to help the dogs hone in their skills for next season!
