We offer wet and dry tan options. Headwaters Hydro is a company that provides professional hydro dipping services. Hydro dipping is a method of applying printed graphics to a three-dimensional surfaces. Our hydrographics can be applied to an array of items from plastic to metal to bone, coating complex surfaces using only high quality materials. Hydrodipping creates a unique touch to any firearm or skull by adding a personal touch to represent a memory or a passion. Almost anything can be hydrodipped! This would make a great gift for a loved one that would like a to add a little self expression to their trophy room or safe. Wet tanned Gemsbok from Africa! Such a unique animal that we are proud to be able to preserve!!

A couple housekeeping things to bring up for the 2026 seasons. Every hide that comes in going forward needs to be tagged on the outside of the bag. If your capes already have tags affixed to them, please have that tag information/number on the outside of the bag. We are switching to a digital system for all of our documentation in an attempt to be more efficient and organized.

Secondly, we will be charging extra for long capes this year. We had the extra charge last season too however I actually only applied it to very few even though we had dozens of capes that qualified. The additional surface area on those capes and products required on those capes adds up significantly. The charge will be applied to capes that have 6+ inches of hide behind the front legs. Discretion will be used if hides are borderline. I am more than happy to process the capes however they come in however if you want to avoid an additional $15 fee, cut your capes accordingly prior to freezing! We are eagerly waiting for the deer seasons to be here!

Another batch of Black Bears completed and ready for pickup! This blonde Black Bear was the highlight of this batch! This one was harvested in Canada!

With Minnesota's bear season underway this year looks like it's going to blow last year's numbers out of the water! We are not turning away any bears so don't hesitate to reach out to us! We are a one stop shop for all things bears from skulls, to soft tans, and rugs!

We can't wait for bear season to be here! We can take care of preserving all your memories from the beautiful bear hide to the skull! Taxidermists remember that the sooner you can get your bears to me, the farther up the list you are! Don't forget that we offer wholesale skull cleaning for your customers! These bear hides pictured are just starting the drying process! I know a lot of taxidermists aren't accepting any Bears this season however we will not be turning away any! If you are looking to get your Bear mounted, I have customers who will be more than willing to help you out!

A couple more beautiful wet tanned Black Bears! Have quite a few left but getting really excited for the 2026 bear season to be less than 1 month away! I won't have the opportunity to hunt for one this year but am stoked to take in 100+ bears before the end of the year! As always, we offer both wet and dry tanning options and accept green or salted hides. Don't forget that we specialize in skull cleaning as well so drop off that bear skull as well!
