I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Education. I am currently living abroad in Europe but I am planning to move back to Wyoming this year. I created this project to play tackle football small sided games for fun. My name is Dallas Fields. I am starting a project to play small sided tackle football games in equipment as a recreational club for adults. I am a P.E. Teacher located in Laramie, Wyoming. I am endorsed to coach football with the state of Wyoming. I have played recreational contact football in Europe and I am trying to bring the concept back home for adults who would want to play. I have attached a flyer with this post to show what the games look like and provided a link to the page with video examples of games I have played before.
The goal is to create a family atmosphere while getting some exercise. It’s a great opportunity to put on the pads again or for the first time. It’s an opportunity to block, tackle, and score some touchdowns in full equipment!

Video of a 5v5 modified tackle football game being played by amateur men’s club. Game was from a project I did in Europe back in 2020.
We played on a field that was 25 yards wide and 60 yards long. Players played both offense and defense. We didn’t use special teams, no below the waist blocks, no blind side blocks, and players learned hawk tackling technique (rugby tackling technique). These modifications increased the safety of the game. It took 15 yards to gain a first down. If teams didn’t want to go for it on 4th down then the other team got the ball on their own 15 yard line to start the next possession.
We used a continuous running clock like in soccer. We did keep score and played to win. Teams went for two points after scoring a touchdown. No chain gang was needed. We used the sideline markers as first down markers. The game was played in a more relaxed atmosphere. Players played with a great spirit and it was a lot of fun!
