Thank you so much to Essie for picking us as her barista spotlight location! Essie was part of our cheer class with Miss Emma for years before going on to LHS to become an amazing cheerleader. 🎉 We have loved watching Essie grow and achieve great things! Essie's sister Gabby just wrapped an outstanding 7(!) performances in our recital last weekend! 😱 Between her and Cheyenne, we had to script the show layout very carefully for all their outfit changes! 🤣❤️ Essie and Gabby's older brother wrestled with our son Vaughn at LHS and now is an amazing college wrestler out in the Midwest. Mom and Dad are very cool, congratulations on great kiddos you guys. One of our favorite parts of this gig is getting to know wonderful families and watch their kids grow. 🥰

BARISTA SPOTLIGHT! Hi my name is Essie! I have lived in Laramie my entire life. I am an incoming senior at LHS. I wanted to work at The Human Bean because of the fun nature of people whenever I came through the drive through. The best thing about working here is the connections that I get that help me break out of my shell. My favorite drink is a Bright Energy drink with a Sugar free base with Strawberry, Peach and Coconut. I chose to give drinks to Laramie Dance Studio because of all the support/encouragement they do for the community.

Our last cheer class for the year! Between schedule conflicts and LHS graduation the cheer class won't have a performance in this weekend's recital. 😢 Today they enjoyed treats (minus Avi, darn it!) and celebrated a lovely year! Thank you Miss Emma for all your hard work and love you show these kiddos. We love you! 🩷❤️

With all the recital excitement around here, I failed to wish these two CONGRATULATIONS last week as I intended! Miss Paige graduated from UW with her BFA in Dance 🎉, and Miss Lindsey and Tim were married in CA! 💍 Lindsey said she wanted one pic with a chicken in her dress 😂! Congrats to both of you! No class today due to Memorial Day! We're cruising towards this weekend! Show order emails and rehearsal notes coming out next!

WOW ... I just came from Miss Paige's senior project performance, along with many others, and I just had to sit for a second and share. What an amazing piece she made, "Look for the Helpers." It really was a stunning, emotional work of art that left me and those around me in tears. It's also really special for me to see Callisto and Tioga Hager-Leaf, whom Levi's worked with via pointe for years from Rising Star in Casper, Destiny Gabbidon who was a special part of our studio for years when she was little and a neighbor of ours, and though she couldn't perform tonight and doesn't know us too well herself, Avey Jespersen is special to Levi & I through Job's Daughters and our decades long friendship with her mama, Erin. Wyoming is a small state, and seeing so many special people and names just means a lot to me. I'm so proud of you! -- ❤️, Kati (and my contacts are fuzzy from crying so hopefully I caught all the type-os!)

The Countdown is ON for our 2026 Recital, Into the Kaleidoscope! Think colors, shiny bits of lovely things, shapes, circular motion, and of course creativity & wonder. Our teachers are creative as always coming up with fun takes on this theme, and we're so excited to share with you all! It's FREE to attend at the LHS Auditorium on Saturday, May 30 at 1 pm, so bring all your people - we ❤️ an amazing audience! 🤩 Help us celebrate the culmination of a FABULOUS year! Thank you to our community, from dancers to parents to our AMAZING teachers. They have brought teamwork, positivity & creativity to our community this year and Levi & I are really appreciative. 🥰

It's been a short but sweet year with Miss Paige and Honey as she finishes up her degree in dance from UW. We're going to miss her a ton! Her senior showcase, "Look For the Helpers" is coming up soon on May 8&9 if you'd like to support her! ❤️🥰❤️

Intensive #3 for this summer - Jordyn Brummond is coming back for another fun weekend intensive! Saturday & Sunday, July 18&19 - either one day or both! Saturday will be a full day, Sunday morning only. Lyrical, ballet, modern, and she's also willing to be flexible - and with Jordyn, you can always expect fun choreography and lots of good work. (And last year we made sure to bring some ice cream in!) 😋 Open to all older dancers (13+ or with approval for ages 11/12). Prices available for one or both days.

Also! Our weekly summer classes are live on our website! We'll have 4-5 weeks of summer classes following our break in June. Weekly classes begin the week of July 13. Go to laramiedancecenter.com , "schedule" and select "summer schedule." Cost is by the class!

Happy Birthday to Olivia!!! Olivia leads our beginning adult ballet class on Wednesday evenings at 5:30. This is such a fun group! The ages range from college to lovely ladies in their 60s. People drop in regularly or as a drop-in, and it's always a good time! If you ever want to check out the class, message us! Every now and then there may not be class so don't hesitate to check in beforehand.

Olivia is just a kind and giving person. She always rolls with a positive attitude and is a joy to know. We're so grateful to have her as part of our team! ❤️
