Hey, Pokes Fans. Wyoming Athletics has teamed up with Wyoming Army National Guard Recruiting to host a special Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament in the Half Acre on Friday, April 8th. Tomorrow is everyone's favorite annual UW fundraising event, Giving Day! If you didn't know already, Giving Day is a one-day fundraising event held by the UW Foundation every year that allows anyone to donate to programs and clubs across campus - like UWYO Esports!

Giving Day donations are vital in allowing us to plan more amazing events like Border War in the future, as well as our community-focused events like the upcoming Halloween Roundup LAN and our weekly Smash tournaments.

Being a part of UW Club Sports also makes us eligible for donation matching; These matching incentives include:
- Club Sports Match (up to $100/donor or $1,000/total)
- Giving Day Midnight Match (up to $1,000/donor or $12,000/total)
- UW Foundation Board Giving Day Match (up to $1,000/donor or $60,000/total)

And remember: the more that we're able to raise through this event, the more we're able to put towards our competitive teams and casual events! As little as $1 is greatly appreciated, and your support helps us show UW just how fantastic our community is!

Congratulations to Colorado State for winning the 2020 Esports .

CSU won the following matches: League of Legends, VALORANT, Overwatch, Rocket League and CS:GO.

UW won in Hearthstone.

Thank you to our stream hosts, casters, athletes, and fans! This was our largest 100% student-run livestream event and we believe it to be a huge success (despite the score)!

The fall semester is here, and that means the return of our Smash Weekly events! Final Smash Friday is being split into two events: Melee Mondays and Ultimate Fridays! We're excited to bring Melee Monday and Ultimate Friday to you online every week going forward!

With the two-event format, both games will get the love they deserve and fans of Melee and Ultimate will have a chance to focus on one or both each week. We will run all Smash activities online until it's safe for us to meet and compete in person.
