Gold Spur Outfitters has officially rebranded as GSO Metals, marking a strategic transition into industrial metal finishing services designed to support manufacturers across the Mountain West. We are Business to Business only, and do not offer retail or services to private customers.

GSO Metals provides chemical-based hard coating systems for a wide range of metals, delivering durable, corrosion-resistant finishes in multiple color options. Current services include hot black oxide, finish blasting, and spray-applied polymer-based protective coatings, with additional surface treatment capabilities in development as the company expands operations.

The rebrand reflects a deliberate shift toward addressing a regional shortage of in-state metal finishing infrastructure, which has historically forced manufacturers to rely on out-of-state vendors, increasing cost, turnaround time, and supply chain risk.

Wyoming currently lacks in-state advanced metal finishing capacity for many common industrial applications. As a result, manufacturers routinely ship components out of state, introducing delays and logistical risk.

GSO Metals is building Wyoming’s first scalable, certified surface finishing facility to close that gap. The company’s black oxide system is already operational and generating revenue, while chemical-based hard coating systems are available today for multiple metal substrates and use cases.
