🎉Laredo Gymnast Scores Perfect 10 at State Sectionals Competition🤸‍♂️

LAREDO, TX — April 20, 2026 — Heily Nieves, a 10-year-old Xcel Silver athlete representing
Jischke Gymnastics and a student at Colonel Santos Benavides Elementary School, achieved a
perfect score of 10.0 on the uneven bars at the TX Central/South Silver Sectionals held April
18–19 in San Antonio.

A perfect 10 represents the highest possible score in gymnastics competition and is a rare
accomplishment at any level. This milestone marks Nieves’ first perfect score, highlighting her
dedication, precision, and performance under pressure.

Jischke Gymnastics was also represented at the competition by athletes Jacynn Balatico, Frida
Becerra, and Paulina Resendez. Collectively, the team delivered an impressive performance,
bringing home four gold medals and two silver medals to Laredo.

This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the athletes, made possible through
the ongoing support of their coaches and families.

“Coach Analy and I have been proud of our athletes long before this accomplishment. This
moment is simply a reflection of the dedication and effort they bring into the gym each day,” said
