Today it was an honor to be present at Laredo City Council Chambers and witness Coach Victor Trevino to receive the OHTLI award from the Mexican government. This award and recognition
🏅 is one of the highest honors granted by the Government of Mexico! Trevino will be recognized at a special ceremony on September 14 for his outstanding legal guidance and leadership during the pandemic, and for championing cross-border sports, including the push for the creation of binational marathons between the U.S. and Mexico.

Due to TXDOT construction, the Laredo Marathon will be on Sunday, November 16

November 17, 2024 is the Date For the 2nd Annual Laredo Marathon, a USATF Certified Course and Boston Qualifier.

After the City Council passed the resolution last September, and with the backing of Director Gomez, Councilmen Balli and Torres, the Laredo Triathlon Assn. proposed pool dome has finally been installed at plum pool. Below are some local swimmers, Francelia Reyna and Martha Sanchez enjoying this incredible facility. Thank you to the City of Laredo, City Council and especially Councilmen Balli and Torres. Together anything is possible!

Congratulations to all our youth participants at our 2nd Annual Kids Triathlon. What a great pleasure to see so many kiddos from ages 4-14 take part in their first triathlon. Coincidentally on the same day as the Ironman World Championships. One day we may see one of these participants competing at the Ironman and/or Olympics. Thank you to all the volunteers, whom among them are triathletes and Ironman! Again, a big congratulations to the participants and thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, families, and support.

Sometimes our greatest heros are the people right in front of us. It was an honor to ride with Matt Roever and his foundation to bring awareness to veteran su***de and honoring these heros. A big thank you to Paster Greg Liles, JD, Norma Herbeck Karime Nevarez, And all of the riders and law enforcement that helped us greet these great people to our city. 🇺🇸
