I have 25 years of experience as a children’s advocate through Pinellas County Schools and Church affiliated children’s and music ministries, 32 years of health and fitness experience that includes various formats such as Yoga, KAY, Pilates,Vertical Core, Aerobic Weight Training, Step, Bodyworks, Aura, Small Group Training, Private Instruction, and Personal Training. I have conducted workshops on Posture and Alignment, Adaptive Yoga, and Advanced Yoga, as well as held charity events such as Yoga In The Park to benefit The Mary Kay Foundation for breast cancer research and battered and abused women. I also teach Goat Yoga at DK Landscaping and Farm. I have a sincere drive to help people achieve a healthy mind, body, and spirit. I believe in teaching a healthy mind set during the critical developmental years that set the stage for a lifetime of healthy choices. 40 years of Customer Service related employment and life experiences as a mother of 3, a senior caregiver for 18 years, and a breast cancer survivor help me to relate to others with much personal attention and empathy. KAY is a way to reach children and teach them about the love, light, and strength inside themselves, how to share that with others, and how to respond to a negative and stressful situation in a positive way. KAY classes combine fun games and music with stories that teach Integral Yoga through physical poses, focus, breath control, meditation, stress relief techniques, mindfulness, arts and crafts, and more! Butts n' Guts is a 30-45 min class that focuses on core areas like abdominal, back, and gluteal muscles. The class will start with a light cardio warm up, followed by core exercises from varying formats, ending with stretching/cool down. Weights are optional. Mats are preferable. Classes are $8/person/class. This is a 2-month series. Class takes place every Monday at 5pm, 9/9-10/28/24.
