Registration is now open for our Annual Youth Discussion Meet. Our 2026 contest will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at the Embassy Suites in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 📍

Students must be in grades 8 - 12 to enter this contest.

Our 2026 YF&R Committee Retreat was one for the books. We welcomed our newest committee members, celebrated our committee successes, and enjoyed some good food and drinks at our annual Retreat Social. 🎉

HUGE thanks to the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau Field Staff (Katie, Shawn, Amanda, & Jesi) for always supporting our program, and another HUGE thanks to our committee members (+ spouses and kids) for committing your time and efforts to support the Young Farmers and Ranchers of New Mexico.

Our YF&R Treasurer, Skyler Davis, and his wife, Sierra, worked with New Mexico Ag in the Classroom to present about the benefits of agriculture to elementary students in Roosevelt County! 🚜🐮🌾

We also presented a retirement buckle to our 2023 - 2025 President, Joel Ferguson.

Joel has led the committee with a great sense of professionalism and commitment. He has consistently advocated for the young farmers and ranchers of New Mexico on many different levels, and he has paved the way for many of our younger committee members. As a YF&R member since 2019, Joel’s wisdom and knowledge of fundraising, youth competitions, and all YF&R involvement has been a tremendous help to our team.

Joel, we will absolutely miss you and your dedicated leadership. Wishing you the very best in your future endeavors! 🤠👏🏼

Our Annual Business Meeting was bittersweet today as we presented a retirement buckle to our 2023 - 2025 Vice President, Kylie Armstrong.

Kylie has spent many years being a part of the Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee, serving in various roles during her tenure. 🤠

We will certainly miss you, Kylie! Thank YOU for being a great YF&R committee member. Wishing you all the best! 🙌🏼
