ONE MORE BEFORE THE LIGHTS GO OUT AT THE FIESTA.

Alright everyone, here's the scoop! New location is officially secured. Lease agreement executed! ☑️ The countdown begins, and this next week and a half is your last chance to swing by to say goodbye to FIESTA ICE ARENA (as I have always called it). My business schedule will remain the same as usual through Friday 5/29. The rink staff is officially out of the building; therefore, I have nobody to watch the front door. You will have to CALL FOR ENTRY to gain access to the shop during OPEN hours (Tues + Wed 3:30-9pm & Sat + Sun 11am-6pm). I will be CLOSED for the move from Saturday, 5/30 through Friday, 6/5. I will open my doors once again for regular business on Saturday, June 6th at the new location (to be announced).

Thank you ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS for your everlasting support. This is the year to REALLY show up, and to show your support in a way you have never shown before. Show me that we can make it last, and I promise you we will. Let's make Skate Daddy FEEL LIKE HOME together!!! Can't wait to get this chapter started!!

***Please note that with this happening all so suddenly, I do not have time to build out the location. I am simply moving and getting back to operating for you all as quickly as possible. I will be scheduling time in July for the build-out. I will make that announcement sometime in mid June.

*** OFFICIAL HYLO PARK UPDATE ***

HYLO PARK IS CEASING OPERATIONS UP TO ONE YEAR.

Construction on the old Fiesta property is set to begin, and because of that, Agora Realty and Management Inc. is moving me out.

I have been offered a temporary space nearby (should I choose to take it), but I'm weighing my options.

I will require some time to figure things out these next couple of weeks. I will follow up with an update regarding a temporary closure to get things moved out. Please give me time and space while I begin to navigate this. If I need any assistance, I will reach out to you!

Please don't blow up my phone. The less I have to respond to, the quicker this gets done! Thank you for your understanding.

Had one of those "real recognize real" moments tonight with a post showing the road-trip skate sharpening equipment of the New Jersey Devils. Thought I'd take a moment to spill my mind, and the things that go through it when I see these things.

There's a reason you have to "take a number" and wait most days. There's a reason why I have days and windows that you must reserve by APPOINTMENT ONLY for my services.

It's simply because I am better, and I'm certainly not sorry for it. I don't care if you don't like or love me because I'm here for those that do. That's who I do it for. The people who keep my world spinning.

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for your willingness to wait. Thank you for being considerate and respectful of my time. Thank you for continuing to support the work that I love to do for you.

Skate Daddy caught the flu, and woke up with a fever this morning. YAY! Spending the day in bed after heading over to see the Doc. I'll re-evaluate tomorrow, but it's likely that I will not be working until Thursday this week. Book those appointments for Thursday and Friday!!! I apologize for the inconvenience. 🙏🙏🙏

🚨🚨🚨 ANNUAL BREAK 🚨🚨🚨

Alright everyone, this is the big yearly announcement.

I have thought long and hard on this, and I have decided that I will be taking some extra time away from the shop at the end of the year.

I feel as if I have much to catch up on in my personal life in order to feel completely refreshed upon returning to work in January, 2026. I have a few projects to complete, family time to spend, and I'd also like to focus a little attention to my overall health and well-being.

With all that said, I have decided to have the shop CLOSED for Annual Break on CHRISTMAS DAY THROUGH MONDAY, JANUARY 5TH.

I will have the shop OPEN for the week of Christmas - including Monday, December 22nd. I will announce EXTENDED store hours for that week on Friday, December 19th to give you time to schedule a visit before my absence.

A compact little kingdom of skate-work, humming with metal and memory.

Focused, with his cap pulled low. Working on a lineup of skates as if tuning instruments before a midnight concert. The bench is crowded with tools, oils, and sharpeners, the kind that whisper precision with every gleam.

White plastic holders hanging along the walls like frozen ribs. Retired skates perched overhead like trophies of past battles, and a collage of team photos, posters, well wishes, and thank you's from beloved customers.

The whole place feels like a shrine to blades, grit, and glide.
