Training differs greatly between sports, but did you know it also varies between positions in the same sport?

Something we find ourselves doing a lot of is training goalies. We’ve worked with lacrosse goalie, .biehl19 for the last few years. She has come a long way and is now committed to play NCAA LAX for ! 💪🏼

We are so proud and can’t wait to see what’s next for her!

Our last, but certainly not least, installment of meet the coaches is . Adrian came to us in the beginning back when we were still Off Ice Athletics. Since then he has left us (temporarily) to pursue his PhD at . He has also published two books during that time and . Read on to learn more about him!

How did you get into coaching?
After serving five years in the Navy, I wanted to do something fitness-related to help other people.

What sport(s) did you play growing up?
Ice hockey, soccer, and tennis.

What’s one thing you’re passionate about teaching athletes?
How to recover effectively so they can get the most out of their training in the gym.

What separates your coaching style from others?
My patience, ability to adapt and try new things, helping athletes understand why physical training is important, and being an active listener.

What’s your favorite part of coaching?
Seeing athletes achieve things they didn’t think they were able to do.

What’s one common mistake you see athletes make?
Not bracing their core properly before lifting.

Coffee order?
Nitro cold brew, black.

If youre not coaching what would you be doing?
Relaxing at the coffee shop and reading, or playing golf or hockey.

Favorite sports movie?
Miracle.
