What a busy but rewarding weekend! 🤍🐎

I spent Saturday and Sunday running barrels and poles, and Saturday night I attended the CrossPoint Cowboy Church CRRA / ACRA / ARA sanctioned rodeo. I had the honor of riding in the grand entry, signing autographs, and catching up with great friends — including Jr. Miss Rodeo Sallisaw, Lilly Moore.

Grateful for every moment and opportunity to represent! ✨

Denleigh Drewry, LRC Princess, met The Long Road Home Project team in Russellville, Arkansas, as they made a meaningful stop on their 220+ mile horseback journey from Bentonville to the steps of the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock. She presented supplies to the riders as they continue their public act of honor, responsibility, and resolve — riding on behalf of children, families, and professionals impacted by foster care.

This journey was born out of years of direct work with boys from hard places — witnessing both quiet resilience and the systemic gaps that leave children and families at risk.

Across Arkansas, thousands of children enter foster care each year, many enduring multiple placements while caseworkers carry overwhelming caseloads and foster families struggle to keep going. Instability leaves lasting marks. Silence allows broken systems to persist.

At the end of the ride The Long Road Home will culminate at the State Capitol, carrying handwritten letters from foster youth, foster families, and frontline caseworkers — to be delivered to Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders as a formal record of lived experience.

Their hope is to inspire change, ignite support, and raise awareness.

The ride passes through Arkansas counties where 1,634 children are currently living in foster care.

The Long Ride Home- Foster Care Awareness Ride in Arkansas Arkansans from all over the state come together to march from NWA to the Capitol steps to raise awareness for Foster Care needs, stories, and create conversation to better support all involved in the system.
