On November 18th, I will graciously receive this prestigious award in London. The journey has been long, but the rewards have been priceless along the way!

My career began deeply rooted in mental health and addiction services, where I committed to fostering resilience and advocating for comprehensive care. This foundation has been critical in my profound honor of serving veterans and their families, offering trauma-informed care that addresses the complexities of service-related experiences. As I navigated through these realms, I was the appointed representative for families at the State of Nevada Emergency Medical Services for Children and the mental health expert on the Child Death Review Team in Nevada. These roles deepened my understanding of systemic issues in healthcare and fueled my passion for empowering vulnerable populations through informed, compassionate support.

Recognizing the universal nature of mental health struggles, I expanded my focus to include public speaking, program development, and professional coaching. This transition was fueled by a realization: the principles and insights gained from mental health and wellness are invaluable in the realm of professional development. As a public speaker, I have taken the stage on both national and international platforms, bridging the gap between personal well-being and professional excellence. This journey has been about sharing knowledge, listening, and learning from diverse perspectives, enriching my own understanding of human dynamics.

In the world of program development, I have combined my clinical insights with strategic thinking to create initiatives that address the multifaceted needs of individuals and organizations. These programs integrate the eight dimensions of wellness - emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual - ensuring a holistic approach to personal and professional development.

Now, I come before you, ready to take a significant leap forward. My goal is to become a global leader in health and wellness speaking and training, focusing on equipping leaders, companies, corporations, coaches, organizations, and governments with the skills to recognize signs of mental health decline in their team members and colleagues. This mission is vital, as mental health issues not only cost companies financially but also impact families and can have life-altering consequences.

I am launching The IMPACT Training Method, a master training system that combines decades of higher education, entrepreneurship, and clinical experience. IMPACT stands for Integrity, Management, Psychology, Action, Culture, and Thought. This method encapsulates my approach of operating with genuine care and compassion, creating consistent management systems, understanding diverse psychological factors, implementing action plans, considering cultural contexts, and thoughtfully developing each training to be inclusive and comprehensive.

Wow!!! Simply stated: I am so excited about this story!!!!

Marina is 100 years old, WWII survivor of direct bombing while in the Philippines, kept the leaflet thrown from American Military planes, hid from the Guerrilla warfare, became employed by the US Military as a translator at 82 cents an hour, kept in contact with the Norwegian family that she shared for survival Hut in the jungles, and hand wrote her story before dementia started to take over!

Written first hand, story boards being built, scored music being composed, and I am honored to narrate for her family

Tonight I was offered the opportunity to speak at other Lions Clubs, represent our LV Professionals Lions at the District meeting in Reno, attend the UN meeting under the Lions seat (since the Lions Club was instrumental in forming the UN), and also speak at the Lions Club Annual Women's Summit.

As I trek down this new path, I am laying down the foundation to begin an all new service project....the proposals are being written and getting ready to submit to our Past and Present District Governors for Sponsorship!
