The Raiders 1st-round pick of the 1971 NFL draft out of Ohio State, Jack Tatum was primarily known for his incredibly hard-hitting and ferocious style of play. He earned the nickname “The Assassin” due to his reputation for delivering bone-jarring tackles, which were often described as sounding like car wrecks. Beyond his nickname, Tatum was a 3x Pro Bowl selection and a key part of the Raiders Super Bowl XI winning team. Tatum passed away at the age of 61. RIP Legend! 🤍🏴‍☠️
