Headless Horsemen Racing

Feeling getting a break from work to get moving on the car for 2026. Got all the old wiring out, the engine is getting a new complete harness and moving everything from under the dash to the passenger floor so it’s more serviceable. (No I’m not mounting everything to plywood, it’s just ever to make a template for the piece of Carbon that everything will mount on later). Also pulled the trans as it will likely need new clutches and a band after the indecent in Vegas. It also it appears we were very close to having a fire in the car when that happened. New switch panel is built, time to start moving forward.

Getting a late start to 2026 changes and upgrades. We’ve both had a busy winter and just finally got the car back to MB a couple weeks ago. It’s in the shop, ready to have the trans pulled and fixed after the burndown fiasco in Vegas. The going to make some wiring changes to simplify service & maintenance at the track. We’re also making some hot side changes and plan to do some before and after testing on the dyno. More on that to come! Can begin to thank Trevor, Nick, Justin, Sheldon and the rest of the team for helping get my head back screwed on straight after Vegas! We have a new plan for 2026, with a plan to stay focused on our goals and have the car 100% tested and ready before it hits the track.

To say the weather this week has been challenging is an understatement! Lot the tire after the shift and to say the car spun is an understatement!!

Rain delay!

Day one testing wasn’t without its challenges! First pass the car was a total dog, we reviewed the logged and discovered we were back on 7 cyl again. It took a little head scratching but I realized that I plugged in a new connector in the wrong injector. Got that resolved, got in the lanes for our 2nd run and this time the car drove through the converter as it’s clearly making more power. Got back and got straight to work on doing a stator change. Car is back together and ready for Q1 tomorrow AM. # #

What a difference 6 years makes! Trevor is currently on route from Alberta and I fly out Tuesday from Winnipeg. Thanks to for putting on this event! Looking forward to seeing all our racing family!

Trevor has been going hard core on getting things re organized in the trailer. He added the winch for the car, flipped the order of things in the trailer to get the tongue weight down. He detailed the Smart, and the trailer. Had our friends @ Clark’s Tire replace a couple tires. The countdown is on for in Vegas can’t wait to meet up with the down there and make some passes!
