During the month of August 2026, Zach decided to continue advancing his diving education by taking the Advanced Nitrox course with instructor Bill. His training included classroom instruction, academic testing, and successfully executing the required dives.

Through hard work, dedication, and commitment to his training, Zach successfully completed the course and is now an Advanced Nitrox Diver.

Congratulations, Zach, on this outstanding accomplishment! This is another great milestone in your diving journey, and we’re excited to see where your continued education and experience take you. 🤿👏🎉 photos by Marcia Bradley

🌊 The Last Run to the B-29 — May 9, 2026 🛩️🤿

May 9, 2026, was our last run to the B-29 bomber before summer boat traffic arrived and visibility would drop to near zero. It was a great way to close out the season on this incredible wreck.

3rd Reef Divers booked the boat, and we’ll have room for two more divers who want to jump on this excursion and make the trip out to the bomber with us.

It was one last chance to get down there, explore the B-29, and enjoy what makes wreck diving so special before the summer traffic and changing conditions take over.

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, dive master Deanna joined us for some fun dives and showed us a fantastic, simple way to get into the water. Just sit on the edge of boat, have someone place your gear behind you. Slide in to your gear and then in right in go.

It's a great reminder that diving doesn't have to be complicated or intimidating. With a little help, the right technique, and a willingness to give it a try, scuba diving can be an amazing and enjoyable experience for just about anybody.

Thanks, Deanna, for the awesome demonstration and for showing us another way to make diving more approachable for everyone! 🤿 🙌

Back on Saturday July 18th 2026 Joshua joined us a board the Puddle Jumper II to complete several dives. You’ll notice that Joshua does not have a tank mounted on his back. He is using a sidemount BCD configuration, which positions the tanks alongside his body rather than on his back.
